Top 10 Medical Cannabis Strains 2018. Number 10: CBD Blue Shark, by Barney's Farm.

CBD Blue Shark is a fantastic strain from the creators at Barney's Farm. This CBD rich strain combines Skunk and BC (Blue Cheese); and as a result tastes very sweet, with citrus, berries and cheese flavours. This in turn makes this strain great for concentrates.

Blue Shark has a mix of 60% indica and 40% sativa, making it's effects particularly relaxing and peaceful. We should also consider that this indica dominant strain has a 1:1 ratio of CBD to THC, which is a percentage of 6.5%. Relatively speaking this is a very high amount of CBD compared to a lower amount of THC. This leads to low psychoactive effects allowing the user to stay alert.

This all makes CBD Blue Shark great for a variety of conditions, though it is reportedly excellent for anti-inflammatory and as an anti-oxidant due to its properties. Furthermore due to the low level of THC as mentioned this cannabis strain is also popular for daytime use.

In terms of growing (please check the legal status in your country or state), the plant is relatively easy to maintain, it is resistant to mould, and it's flowering period will take 60-65 days. The plant will grow to around 100cm. Best grown indoors or in a greenhouse.

A massive plus point for this strain is that it is a feminised plant. That means only female plants will grow. If you consider in a typical crop there is half male and half female plants, and that only the female plants are used, this means that you are effectually getting twice as much from the same crop. (There is also time saved as there is no need to separate the crop). Overall the crop gives a yield of around 550 g/m2.

Many strains are now feminised as these seeds are very popular amongst growers as they eradicate any problems the male plants may bring if not separated properly.

Please be responsible and may we take this opportunity to remind our readers that the growing of cannabis plants and the cultivation of seeds is illegal in some countries, therefore please check the legal status in your country or state before growing any plants.
